In order to further reduce the technogenic load on the body of turkeys in the conditions of industrial rearing for the first time in Russia, in the SSC "SKZOSP" issues related to the immunity system were studied. In turkey poults of various genotypes live weight, weight of immune organs, non-specific resistance, tension of immunity to Newcastle disease were studied in the age aspect.
The results of the studies showed that the highest weight gain of live weight for the period of 0-16 weeks was observed in turkey poults of the Silver North Caucasian breed (6041 g), the lowest was in the black Tikhoretsky breed (5406 g).
According to the immune organs, the maximum values for gain of the thymus (13,84 g) and bursa of Fabricius (4,71 g), spleen (4,46 g) were noted in the Silver North Caucasian breed. At 16 weeks, the minimum gain of thymus (11,99 g) and spleen (3,65 g) was in the White North Caucasian breed. Also, the minimum value of the Fabricius bursa in 16 weeks was noted in turkey poults of the Black Tikhoretsky breed (4,00 g).
High rates of non-specific resistance: bacterial activity of serum (57,0%) and lysocym activity of serum (33,72) were noted in the young of Silver North Caucasian breed. The specific resistance to the Newcastle disease virus was at 97,2-98,4% in turkey poults of the White North Caucasian, Silver North Caucasian breeds in the period of 16 weeks.
All the studied indices on the research topic are associated with various turkey genotypes, having their similarities and differences. The obtained data can be used in the preparation of selection programs.
