GROWING YOUNG PIGS WITH INCLUSION OF PROTEIN FEED ADDITIVE IN THE STARTER COMBINED FEED

Abstract

The research article focuses on the study of the effect of the high-protein
feed additive “Organic” on the productive qualities of growing young pigs. The industrial infrastructure of pig breeding of the basic farm “Rosinka” in the Predgorny Municipal District
of the Stavropol Territory is focused on technological methods of feeding piglets during the
first months by feeding them with special combined feed. It was reliably established that the
piglets, which followed the diet of high-protein concentrate, were superior in all parameters to
the control variant. The enrichment of starter combined feed with a new feed additive in the
amount of 4,0 and 6,0% by weight, contributed to an increase in the content of crude and digestible protein in the diets by 24,7% and 29,7%, lysine – by 16,2% and methionine with cystine – by 6,8%. Nutrient digestibility rates significantly improved: organic matter by 1,08%,
protein – 3,26%, fat – 1,86%, fiber – 1,94%, NFE – 1,4%.The blood values of the animals in
the control and experimental groups were within the physiological norm. A slight increase in
blood values was observed in young pigs of experimental groups: erythrocytes by 1,9 – 5,8%,
leukocytes – 1,3 – 4,1%, hemoglobin – 4,2 – 7,1%, which confirmed the activity of redox
processes.The increase in live weight of piglets from the 3rd experimental group at 4 months
of age in relation to the control variant was 3,5 kg or 7,0% (P ≤ 0,05), the average daily gain
was 61 g or 12,1% (P ≤ 0,05).
