Abstract

In recent years, new methods of cattle herd reproduction have been introduced on modern industrial farms. Since these issues require further improvement, our research was devoted to embryo transfer. The research was conducted in the conditions of an industrial complex of milk production in the Krasnodar Territory. A comparative study of the luteinizing preparation Pluset and recombinant human FSH (r-h FSH) Gonal-F and their effect on superovulation in donor cows of the Holstein breed was conducted. The research involved studying the practical significance of using the preparation, which was obtained by genetic engineering on a culture of Chinese hamster ovary cells, which affected an increase in the number of oocytes and their quality, which were intended for further embryo transfer. The study of this biotechnological technique and the implementation of research results in the reproduction of dairy cattle has significantly increased the number of breeding cattle and increased the genetic potential of the dairy herd in a relatively short time. When conducting the research, superovulation induction schemes using Pluset and Gonal-F preparations were studied. It was found that, on average, 9,4 embryos were obtained from donor cows of the control group using the poliovulation scheme with a luteinizing preparation, and 10,8 embryos were washed from herdmates of the experimental group after administration of Gonal-F. This was the number of obtained embryos during one washout. The number of embryos, which were suitable for transfer to recipient heifers, was 12,3 % higher when using a recombinant human FSH preparation than a luteinizing preparation. The resulting embryos were transferred into two groups of recipient heifers (15 head each). A total of 30 viable embryos, classified as the first class, were transferred. The survival rate of embryos in the recipient heifers of the control group was 46,7 %, in the herdmates from the experimental group – 53,3 %.
