EFFECT OF PROBIOTICS ON MORPHOLOGICAL AND BIOCHEMICAL BLOOD PARAMETERS OF YOUNG SHEEP

Abstract

Recently, interest in probiotic preparations has grown significantly in animal husbandry. This is explained by the fact that they allow several problems to be solved simultaneously: increasing animal productivity by improving digestion processes and, consequently, increasing the profitability of production of livestock products. The aim of the authors' research was to establish the influence of probiotics based on bifidobacteria on the morphological and biochemical parameters of the blood of young sheep. The research was conducted in the peasant farm enterprise “Arl” of the Yashkulsky District, the Republic of Kalmykia in 2023. The young rams of the control group had a diet without the preparation, and the animals of the experimental group received different dosages of probiotics “Bifidum FA” and “Zoonorm” in addition to the main diet. The intergroup analysis showed that the 6-month-old young rams of the experimental group exceeded their flockmates of the control group in terms of total protein concentration by 7.6%, in terms of albumin fraction – by 10.3% (P> 0.99), and globulins by 5.8% (P> 0.99). At 6 months of age, the young animals of the group II had a higher enzyme activity of transamination and exceeded the flockmates of the control group in ALT and AST by 17.52 and 6.14% (P> 0.95). At 5 months of age, the young rams of the experimental group II exceeded the analogues of the control group I in live weight by 2.50 kg (P>0.99) and at 6 months of age – by 5.7 kg or 14.1% (P>0.999). The use of probiotics based on bifidobacteria “Bifidum FA” and “Zoonorm” in the diet of feeding young sheep improves protein metabolism, promotes better feed conversion, and therefore a more intensive increase in animal live weight.
