The article deals with the territory exploration of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic in
order to identify promising springs and rivers for the development of fish farming. A chemical analysis of the water in the studied springs was carried out for their possible use for fish
breeding. Recommendations of their use in aquaculture production are given. It was established that the introduction of water bodies into the fishery turnover, with the use of modern
technologies, will allow obtaining an additional 1500-2000 tons of best quality fish products
in the conditions of the KBR for several years. The combination of RAS technology and traditional technologies will increase the final efficiency of fish farming, both in overall production and economic outcomes. At the same time, it is advisable to focus on the breeding of valuable fish species (sturgeon, salmon), as well as on the production of caviar.
