As a result of studies conducted in the conditions of unstable moisture in the Stavropol
Territory on the experimental field of the laboratory of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of
FSBSI “North Caucasus Federal Agricultural Research Center”, there were no noticeable
differences in the yield of corn grain with the basic application of ammonium nitrate
phosphate fertilizer of two brands (23:13:8 and 14:14:23), which amounted to 4.05 and 4.10
t/ha. After the basic application of ammonium nitrate phosphate fertilizer 23:13: 8
(N46P26К16), a significant increase in grain yield by 0.41 and 0.55 t/ha or 10.1 – 13.6% was
provided by the use of UTEC urea and UAN -32 together with ammonium thiosulfate (ATS).
With this type of top dressing, the best rates of grain quality were obtained: the protein
content was 10.2%, fat and fiber – 5.7 and 1.9%. With the use of ammonium nitrate
phosphate fertilizer 14:14:23 (N28P28К46), a significant increase in grain yield was obtained,
compared to the control – 0.79 t/ha or 19.3% by using only UAN-32 top dressing with
ammonium thiosulfate. In the dry conditions of the growing season in 2020, a decrease in the
economic rates of corn cultivation after using nitrogen fertilization was noted. The exception
