BIOCHEMICAL BLOOD PARAMETERS OF REPLACEMENT GILTS AND THEIR OFFSPRING DEPENDING ON THE LEVEL OF PRODUCTION STATUS

The basis of successful pig breeding is a choice and a competent combination
of productive qualities of animals. The main goal of commercial pig farming is to obtain the
maximum amount of high quality and cheap products. One of the reserves for increasing
productivity is the constant genetic improvement of the herd, which is based on scientifically
grounded selection (breeding) of the best animals and the selection of parental pairs for the
next generation. In this regard, in 2025, as part of the implementation of the Russian Science
Foundation grant No. 25-26-20017, studies were conducted in the conditions of the separate
structural unit of the pig-breeding complex “Romkor”, Troitsky District, Chelyabinsk Region
to determine the relationship of biochemical parameters of pig blood depending on their level
of production status at the first stage of commercial crossing. The distribution of sows and
breeding boars by production groups was carried out using a computer program developed by
the authors – Microsoft Office Excel – Verifier of the production status of productive animals
and poultry (ZooStatus) (application for state registration of the computer program No.
2025686812/69). A comprehensive study conducted under the conditions of commercial
crossbreeding of maternal (Large White) and paternal (Landrace) pigs allowed us to establish
an objective relationship between the biochemical profile of blood and the level of production
status of animals, which is of fundamental importance for modern breeding. According to the
results of biochemical studies in all experimental animals, regardless of age and group, the
key parameters were within physiological norms. The level of liver enzymes AlAT and
AsAT, which serve as markers of liver cell integrity, corresponded to the reference values for
their age categories. The activity of LDH, a non-specific marker of tissue damage, was also
within the physiological norm. The parameters of total protein and urea did not exceed the
limits of the physiological norms. Thus, no significant deviations were found in the studied
biochemical parameters.
