HEMATOLOGICAL PARAMETERS OF RAINBOW TROUT WHEN WHITE LU-PINE IS INCLUDED IN THE DIET STRUCTURE

In this study, the effect of white lupine of Dega variety with low content of alkaloids (0,02%) in the composition of complete compound feeds on the hematological and physiological parameters of rainbow trout was evaluated. As part of the experiment, four groups of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) were formed. The control group received standard extruded compound feed, while 10% native white lupine was added to the diet of the fish of the second experimental group. In the third group, the proportion of lupine was 22 %, and in the fourth – 25 % of white lupine without a shell. In the second experimental group, the inclusion of 10% coated lupine in the feed allowed reducing the fish meal content by 7 %. In the third experimental group, the use of 22 % white lupine without shell resulted in a 14 % reduction in the proportion of fish meal. The use of 25 % white lupine without a shell in the fourth experimental group allowed reducing the content of fish meal by 19 %. The results showed that lupine with low alkaloid content (0,02 %) did not cause negative changes in hematological parameters, since the differences between the control and experimental groups were insignificant. The blood test revealed the dependence of hematological parameters on the temperature of the water, and not on the composition of the diet, as changes were observed in all groups. Based on the obtained data, it can be concluded that white lupine is not only safe for the body of a fish but is also able to positively affect its general condition and productivity when it is used in recommended doses. Thus, the use of white lupine as the main source of vegetable protein in balanced compound feeds provides significant opportunities for improving the diet of rainbow trout.
