APPLICATION EFFICIENCY OF HORMONAL ESTROUS SYNCHRONIZATION PROTOCOLS IN DAIRY CATTLE BREEDING

Modern animal husbandry is constantly searching for ways to increase productivity and profitability of production. Dairy cattle breeding occupies a central position in the structure of the Russian agro-industrial complex, performing a strategically important function of providing the population with high-quality dairy products. The process of herd reproduction is the fundamental basis for the economic efficiency of dairy cattle breeding, and methods that optimize these processes are of particular importance. Hormonal synchronization allows you to: standardize the reproduction process, reduce the period between calvings, increase the efficiency of using breeding animals, plan production processes. The studies were conducted in 2024-2025 on Holstein cattle in the conditions of the enterprise “Russia” JSC “Agrocomplex named after N.I. Tkachev”, located in the Krasnodar Territory. In order to assess the effectiveness of hormonal synchronization protocols, an experiment was conducted, in which conception rate was compared – the ratio of the number of pregnant cows to the number of inseminated. Using the paired comparison method, two experimental groups of 40 head each were formed, preliminarily subjected to clinical examination and ultrasound scan of the reproductive organs. The control group was on the hormonal synchronization protocol “Ovsynch”, and the experimental group was on “DoubleOvsynch” protocol after 14 days. As a result of the conducted studies, data were obtained that the hormonal synchronization protocol “DoubleOvsynch” (experimental group) was 60,25% more effective than the hormonal synchronization protocol “Ovsynch” (control group), which made it possible to obtain 9 more pregnant animals in the experimental group and ensured a decrease in the cost of one productive insemination by 25,01% compared to the hormonal synchronization protocol “Ovsynch” (control group).
