Abstract

The article presents the results of physico-chemical, bacteriological studies
of the air environment of the poultry house during the rearing of broiler chickens. The change
in the parameters of the air environment from the moment of housing to the end of the broiler
chicken rearing period has been established. The content of microorganisms and dust pollution in the air of the poultry house has increased. An assessment of the effectiveness of preventive aerosol disinfection of the poultry house air environment when keeping broiler chickens with an aerosol disinfectant Katril – Dez – Vet in the premises for keeping poultry during
the technological cycle of its rearing was carried out. The work was carried out in the poultry
farm of CJSC “Mosselprom” in the Ramensky District of the Moscow Region on broiler
chickens of the Cobb 500 cross. The 0,5% concentration of the Katril–Dez – Vet solution was
tested (in accordance with the recommendations of the disinfectant manufacturer). Aerosol
preventive disinfection of the air environment in the experimental poultry house was carried
out on the 10th and 20th day after housing broiler chickens, using the cold fogging method,
with the “Nebulo” aerosol generator at an exposure of 30 minutes. A similar poultry house served as a control. The effectiveness of disinfection was assessed by the presence of coliform
bacteria, non-hemolytic and hemolytic streptococci and staphylococci, and microscopic fungi
in the air. In order to determine coliform bacteria, Endo`s medium was used, non-hemolytic
and hemolytic strepto- and staphylococci – agar, and microscopic fungi – Sabouraud medium.
The physico-chemical parameters of the microclimate were determined with the help of a universal gas analyzer, using instrumental control with generally accepted techniques. It was
found that the application of aerosol preventive disinfection using 0,5% Katril – Dez – Vet
solution on the 10th and 20th day after housing broilers could significantly reduce the number
of microorganisms in the air during the technological cycle of poultry rearing. Thus, the number of non–hemolytic staphylococci and coliform bacteria on the 35th day of the technological
cycle of growing broiler chickens was lower in the experimental poultry house by 39,76% and
46,26% than in the control one. Thus, the use of preventive aerosol disinfection during the
poultry rearing period makes it possible to improve the sanitary and hygienic parameters of
the air environment of poultry house, creates more comfortable conditions that reduce the
pressure of microorganisms on poultry, and allows obtaining more eco-friendly products.
