Abstract

Storage of plant products is one of the main processes of agritechnology.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, there is a shortage of stationary places for storing grain crops due to an increase in bulk yield. The main reasons for
the shortage of grain storage places are the physical deterioration of bin blocks, the actual destruction of the old elevator fund, and the lack of active building of new elevators.
Agricultural producers have been using modern methods of grain storage on open areas for a number of years.
The purpose of the research is to study the characteristics of portable system of grain
storage (silobags) in production conditions. The objectives of the study: to consider the possibility of storing grain by crops (winter wheat, barley and corn); to determine the characteristics of crop establishment in different climatic zones of Russia; to identify problems with
long-term storage of grain, using portable system (silobags); to evaluate the results of deratization measures.
It has been established that the method of grain storage with the use of portable system
(silobags) is relevant, “viable” and applicable in the field conditions in different climatic
zones of Russia. On the territory of the Central and Siberian Federal Districts, a number of
problems have been identified during grain storage with the use of portable system that reduce
the quality of storage: tear of the polyethylene construction by rodents and birds, which causes a proofness failure of the polyethylene tube, and with time contributes to the input of oxygen and water into the intergranular space, breaking the concept of anaerobic storage, contributes to an increase in quantitative and qualitative grain losses, possibly increases the biological activity of fungi and pests of the grain stock inside the grain mass.
Deratization measures, which were carried out in conditions of open storage of silobags had low efficiency in the autumn and winter period (covering with snow and rain pouring into trays with rodenticides). The article draws conclusions and makes suggestions for optimizing grain storage with the use of portable system.
