DEMAND AND PROVISION OF NO-TILL TECHNOLOGY WITH EQUIPMENT OF DOMESTIC PRODUCTION

Abstract

In order to cultivate agricultural crops using No-till technology, special
technical means are needed, which mostly came from abroad. Due to the refusal to supply
such means to our country, there is a problem of providing domestic production equipment.
The purpose of the research is to study the crop acres and the needs of agricultural producers
in the country for technical means to grow field crops using No-till technology; to establish
which machine-building enterprises of the Russian Federation produce or plan to produce
such technical means; what are the volumes and prospects for increasing their production, and
whether they will satisfy the increasing demand for such equipment. First of all, seeder units
are needed for sowing seeds and applying fertilizers to untilled soil. In the country, 7 machine-building enterprises produce 490 seeder units of various modifications per year. There
are plans to increase their production to 630 units per year. With an area of direct sowing in
the country of 5 million hectares and the service of sowing equipment for 8 years, it must be
produced in an amount that ensures annual sowing on an area of 650 thousand hectares. Currently, the volume of production provides sowing up to 1 million hectares, providing the
needs for this equipment. The annual output of grain carts, which are required in No-till technology, is 470 units, which ensures domestic needs and supplies to neighboring countries.
Stripper headers are produced annually in the amount of 300-350 pcs., which are used both
domestically and shipped abroad. It is necessary to organize production of seed drills for direct sowing of agricultural crops with wide row spacing and precise placement of seeds in a
row at the same distance from each other.
