THE STATE AND MAIN TRENDS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF CROP GROWING PRODUCTS IN THE STAVROPOL TERRITORY

Abstract

The basis for assessing the current state of the market for crop growing products in the region is the study of its conjuncture, which has as its goal the establishment of specific economic indices, the level of their effect on the object under study, and the identification of trends in their change. Determining the state of agriculture and its role in the regional economy will make it possible to identify the main problems in this branch, negative trends, and identify ways to overcome them. The economic conjuncture is a phenomenon, the classification of which includes various elements in the field of public policy (capital investment, taxes) or in terms of the funds formation (income tax system, wage system, social security etc.), supply and demand factors, prices. The economic situation, in turn, is a form of manifestation on the market for the conditions of reproduction and their development in interrelation and interaction. Natural and economic factors play an important role for both the crop growing market and the agricultural market as a whole. The conjuncture forming factors (their change in different periods of time) determine the nature of economic situation in general. The territory of the Stavropol Region has made 66,2 thousand square kilometers, 87,6% of which are agricultural land. In the region live 2794,5 thousand people, or 1,9% of the population in Russia, with a share of the rural population of 42,1%. The Stavropol Territory, being a subject of Russia, has been a member of the North Caucasus Federal District since 2011.
