The article describes the analysis of the results of sheep treatment by the veterinary service of the region over a five-year period for the prevention of parasitic diseases,
which showed that they annually carry out a large amount of treatments for parasites. However, it should be noted about the decrease in their number for all invasions in 2020 compared to 2016 from 8818.0 thousand to 3815.1 thousand. The analysis of the veterinary-sanitary examination reports of slaughter animals showed that in 2020 compared to 2010, there was a gradual decrease in the intensity of the epizootic situation for parasitic diseases in small cattle, which was characterized by a decrease in the number of cases of parasitic diseases by 34.3%. As for the number of cases, dicroceliosis (11.96%) and echinococcosis (2.07%) occupy the leading position, while other diseases account for only 6.35%. The most common among them are: dictyocaulosis (1.06%), fasciolosis (0.79%) and cysticercosis (0.008%). The analysis shows that the number of diagnostic tests has decreased over the years. In 2020, the number of coprological examinations in sheep decreased by 59 2% compared to 2010, but at the same time, the number of diseases of parasitic etiology also decreased by 35%. Thus, although there is a decrease in the number of cases of animal parasitic etiology, these health
problems still require the attention of the veterinary service because they can pose a threat to the sanitary and epidemiological prosperity of livestock enterprises.
