Abstract

Pre-sowing seed treatment is one of the elements of crop cultivation technology and is widely used in grain production in the Stavropol Territory. The article considers
the effect of preparations of various compositions, which are used for seed treatment, on the
yield of winter wheat varieties that differ in morphophysiological characteristics. In order to
carry out a field experiment on the experimental ground of the North Caucasus Federal Agricultural Research Center (Stavropol Territory), seeds of the low-growing variety Viktoria 11
and the medium–sized variety Stavka were treated with the following preparations: Alfastim
at a dosage of 0.05 l/t, Ikar Fosto Seeds – 0.5 l/t, Sprintalga – 0.5 l/t, Biodux - 3 ml/t. The
studied varieties differed in reaction to the preparations. The maximum yield for 2019-2021
was obtained from the low-growing variety Viktoria 11 (4.54 t/ha). An increase in yield, both
in the variety Victoria 11 (by 7.1%) and in the variety Stavka (8.0%) was obtained on variants
using Alfastim preparation for seed treatment in comparison to the variant without seed
treatment. Salt tolerance was evaluated in laboratory conditions, in Petri dishes. Seeds of two
varieties of winter wheat, which were treated with multifunctional preparations were germinated on NaCl salt solutions at concentrations of 0.5%, 1.0% and 2.0% (control – without
seed treatment). The use of the preparation Alfastim and Biodux on 0.5% and 1.0% NaCl solution enhances growth processes and the mass of seedlings in comparison to the control variant. In relation to the control, during the germination of treated winter wheat seeds with Ikar
Fosto Seeds and Sprintalga preparations, a decrease in linear growth of seedlings was observed at all concentrations of salt solution.
